Davido Announces N300 Million Donation To Orphanages
Through his Foundation, Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has donated N300 million to orphanages in Nigeria.
He revealed the donation on Tuesday on his X account, saying it was his annual gift to the nation.
He also said the disbursement details will be shared on Wednesday.
“As my yearly contribution to the Nation, I and my foundation give 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … ❤️ … disbursement details tomorrow 🇳🇬,” he tweeted
It will be recalled that the singer, who was nominated for a Grammy, got a gift from Memphis Depay, a forward for Atletico Madrid.
The footballer reportedly presented Davido with a Rolex watch worth millions of naira when he performed at his 30th birthday party recently.
Davido acknowledged the gift on his Instagram story, saying it was his first time receiving a gift.
He said, “N*gga got me a rolex for his birthday! I always gift people, I never get gifts.
You are loved and appreciated by me @memphisdepay.””
