West Ham ‘intent’ on signing Maguire despite getting £20m offer rejected
According to The Independent, David Moyes is unwilling to give up on signing Harry Maguire for West Ham United this summer.
The Hammers have already submitted an initial bid worth £20 million, which Manchester United swiftly rejected.
That hasn’t impacted West Ham’s interest in the English centre-back, with Man United demanding at least £30 million.
Regardless, Maguire is among Moyes’ key targets this month even as he’s the only manager to not sign a single player so far.
Although Maguire has struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford, he remains one England’s top defenders. Furthermore, his contract is due to run till at least 2025 meaning Man United have the upper hand.
